Active Emergency Procedures: Niko Niko Boba

These guidelines are designed to assist you when there is an active emergency near your shop, but not inside it. Examples of such emergencies include active shooters in the area, bomb threats near the building, or general police and criminal activity.

Immediate Danger Response

If there is an immediate threat to the shop, our Team Members, or our guests:

• Follow Authorities: A police officer or official authority will notify you of the danger and instruct you on the required course of action.

• Report the Situation: Call your Operations Leader immediately to make them aware of the situation and the specific steps you have taken.

Precautionary Actions

If activity nearby does not pose an immediate danger but makes you feel uncomfortable, you may choose to lock the doors until the situation is resolved. If you choose to do this, you must:

• Inform Guests: Notify guests of the nearby danger. Let them know they are welcome to stay inside or may choose to leave but explain that you are locking the doors for the safety of both the Team and the guests.

• Support Team Members: If a Team Member feels they do not want to stay, you should allow them to clock out and leave.

• Resume Operations: Once the danger has been contained, you may resume business as normal.

• Notify Leadership: Call your Operations Leader to update them on the situation and the actions you took.
